Waterfalls are the best attraction of India when the season changes to Monsoon. There are a list of breathtaking and naturally filled waterfalls surrounded by lush green trees and big rock shows. But the hardest thing is to sort them out and find the best. It is tough to find the exact length of waterfalls as there is no means of measuring it. In short it is assumed.
So leaving apart the measurements here are the stunning waterfalls that i personally suggest you to visit.
5. Dudhsagar Waterfall , Goa - The best and tallest in India. I've no doubt in mentioning this particular waterfall as one of my favorite. Dudhsagar means Sea of Milk. The natural cascading style of water flowing down from the top of mountain is an awesome view for the visitors. It is situated in the border of Karnataka and Goa. Worth visiting
6. Jog falls , karnataka : As per UNESCO's report over ecological hot spots in World , this falls take a part in the list. It has a phenomenal view of water flowing from the top to the bottom. The deafening roar of water which falls on the rocks makes a chilling experience to the travelers.
3. Nohsngithiang falls , Meghalaya : Another great waterfall which has a pet name called Seven Sisters. As the name mentions waterfall is segmented and series of flows visible from a large mountain. It is situated in East Khasi hills of Meghalaya.
7. Athirappally Waterfall , Kerala - Kerala is renowned for backwaters and natural picturesque spots. There are so many large and tiny waterfalls like Athirappally Waterfall , Vazhachal , Palaruvi , Thusharagiri falls , Adyanpara Waterfalls Nilambur etc. Athirappally is the best and heavenly one among them. The greenery attracts plenty of nature lovers towards this place.
8. Thoseghar waterfalls , Maharashtra - Comparing to other waterfalls on this list the most beautiful and eye catching one is Thoseghar waterfalls. It is associated with a beautiful valley called Kas Plateau. The water falling from the top and forms a like a natural pond to attract many.
I know this is not that list many are expecting. But I'm sorry to exclude remaining as the list concludes only 5. There are many waterfalls in India which one person may like to score at least once in a life time. Few of them are Talakona waterfall , Khandadhar waterfall , Courtallam waterfalls etc... Meenmutty waterfalls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls, falling from a height of some 980 ft in Wayanad district of Kerala.
11. Sentinel Rock Waterfalls
Sentinel Rock Waterfalls also known as Soochipara Falls is a three-tiered waterfall in Vellarimala, Wayanad, surrounded by Deciduous, Evergreen and Montane forests.

1.Kunchikal Falls, Karnataka
It is the tallest waterfall of India with a height of 1,493 ft is located near Agumbe in Shimoga district of Karnataka. Ranked at 116 in the world’s highest list, you will need a Gate pass to visit this waterfall since it is located in a restricted area. Agumbe valley is among the places in India that receive very heavy rainfall and the India’s biggest waterfall is formed by the Varahi river and lies in the Western Ghats.
2. Barehipani Falls, Odisha
It is a beautiful waterfall located in Simlipal National Park in Mayurbhang, Orissa. This gorgeous waterfall is second highest waterfalls of India with a height of 1,309 ft and is surrounded by deep forest which again adds the wildness to its beauty. Originating from the Bay of Bengal, this two-tiered waterfall is huge and majestic to look at.
3. Nohkalikai Falls, Meghalaya
Located near Cherrapunji, it is one of the wettest places on Earth in East Khasi Hills district Meghalaya. The 3rd highest waterfalls in India with a height of 1,120 ft, is very famous for Hills, rainfall, living bridges and oranges. Nohkalikai Falls are formed with the rainwater that is collected on the summit small plateau.

It is also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls and the Mawsmai Falls. It is a seven-tiered waterfall that flows from a height of 315 mt (1,033 ft) in Meghalaya. Nohsngithiang Falls look even more enchanting when the sun rays shine bright on the water making them look vibrant.
